The shot: skullcap, phone, and a yellow steering wheel

In the photo, a young man sits on a brightly colored plastic ride-on toy with a yellow steering wheel and blue handles. He's wearing a white polo shirt with green trim at the collar and a dark purple tyubeteika with a white pattern. He's holding a phone in a dark case in both hands, looking straight into the lens, brows furrowed, lips pressed together. Off to the side, another phone is visible, apparently filming the scene.

The meme rests on the facial expression: a serious, slightly displeased look set against a playful backdrop. Many captions play on the sense that his gaze seems to be judging whoever's looking at it.

Who Khasbulla Magomedov is

Khasbulla Magomedov is from Makhachkala, Dagestan. He is short in stature, and that has become part of his public image. Sources disagree on his birth date: an English-language encyclopedia gives July 7, 2002, while some materials cite 2003; in 2021 he was roughly 18-19, meaning he was an adult. Some sources state he was "18" — which lines up with the later date.

Fame came in 2021 thanks to clips on TikTok and Instagram. He became known as "Mini-Khabib," a nod to fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, with whom he later became friends. Among the memorable episodes described is a clip in which he "lectures" a cyclist about pandemic rules.

The feud with Abdurozik

In May 2021, Khasbulla challenged any opponent of equal weight to a fight, and Tajik blogger Abdurozik took him up on it. At a press conference hosted by blogger Ashab Tamaev, a shouting match and scuffle broke out between them, and the footage racked up millions of views. An official bout never actually took place, and the press has described the standoff as a successful publicity stunt for both of them.

In the fall of 2021, Khasbulla was invited to UFC 267, where he appeared ringside at the octagon. In September 2022, he reportedly signed a contract with the UFC. This has been reported by several outlets, but the details of the contract vary between them.

Why the picture became a meme

In the memes, the main role isn't played by the person's biography but by the image: a small person with a stern face, as if making a weighty decision. The combination of a child's ride-on toy and an adult's tone makes the shot a versatile template for jokes about a "boss" who doesn't approve of whatever you're doing.

It's important to separate the joke from the person: the caption describes the reader's own situation, not Khasbulla's actual words. Don't put words in his mouth that he never said.

Example captions

The captions were invented for this card.

"When you said you'd pay the money back on Friday, and today is Friday." The look in the shot turns into a reminder from a creditor.

"My cat, watching me open the fridge without him." The strict observer role gets transferred onto a pet.

"The boss in a meeting, hearing 'let's not set any deadlines.'" The pause and the serious face say more than words would.

"Checking whether you turned off the iron." A simple, everyday image: a small but very persistent overseer.

Tips for using it

Caption the shot in the first person of whoever is passing judgment. Jokes about the subject's height or mockery of his features spoil the image and cross a line — it's far more effective to play on the facial expression and the contrast instead.

The image works well for short replies in chats when you need to "give someone a stern look."
