A kitten on a blue seat and a green plumbob
The frame shows a 3D kitten with white over-ear headphones and a pink bow on its forehead. It sits on a blue seat with a small pattern; a green crystal floats above its head, behind it is a blue background with pixel hearts and diamonds, and a red curtain and the edge of a window are visible on the left.
This is a still frame, so the signature head-bobbing cannot be caught here: the motion lives only in the video. The crystal echoes the plumbob from The Sims, the icon of a contented character, and the bow has long been part of the kitten's recognizable look.
David Hult's animation, November 2024
The original animation is by 3D artist David Hult, known as davidhlt (davidhult on TikTok). In November 2024 he posted a clip of an eared character riding along and bobbing its head to calm music, captioned “vibe cat”. Sources disagree on one detail: some say it is a train, others a bus.
The format of short atmospheric sketches came from Chinese Douyin back in 2023, where they were first used as reaction GIFs in comments. Dozens of similar animated animals can be found in Hult's accounts.
The song “Prosto Like” by Viki Show
The meme sound is the chorus of a song recorded by Viki Show, a blogger and singer, Viktoria Solovyova from Cheboksary. Music databases list the track as “Prosto” (“Simply”), while Viki Show's official channel, in a video about the trend from 25 September 2020, calls it “Prosto Like”.
The song came out in 2018, when Vika was seven years old; its video gained tens of millions of views. The track itself was not a big hit then — it went viral only once it was joined with the animation.
How two separate pieces came together in 2026
The animation and the song appeared independently, by different authors. In 2026 users edited Hult's clip together with Viki Show's track, and the trend gained strength in February–March.
Publications do not name who made the particular picture that spread across feeds: the author of the animation is known, but not the person who first set it to this song. The head-bobbing, the bow and the crystal belong to the animation, and the lyrics belong to the song; the two stories should not be mixed up.
The chorus: a naive plea and adult irony
The chorus lyrics are a child's direct request: “Shopping, fashion look, I'm a YouTube star”, “come to my channel”, “a like leads me to my dream”. This is not nonsense but a very concrete promise: subscribe and leave a like, and the dream will come true.
The contrast is that an adult repeats this request in earnest and in their own name: outwardly they are riding to work, while inside they are still asking viewers for a like. The irony rests not on a random set of words but on the exact match between a child's text and an adult's self-image.
Captions for the unbothered kitten
“Sat through three calls in a row, and in my head it's still ‘come to my channel’.” The caption takes a familiar line and carries it into the office.
“This is me on my way to a meeting that I scheduled myself.” It works through the contradiction between responsibility and lightness.
“The world is on fire, I'm in headphones.” A short version of the same device, where the contrast is visible from the first second.
